Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport is not a dependable passenger-flight option to assume for a trip to Edenthorpe: it closed in late 2022, and future passenger services should be confirmed before planning around it. Leeds Bradford and Humberside are other airports to check.
- Other airports considered here: Humberside Airport, Leeds Bradford Airport and RAF Scampton.
- Confirm passenger flights and onward transport for the airport you choose.
Check which airports currently serve your journey
Doncaster Sheffield Airport’s passenger-flight availability needs checking before you choose it for an Edenthorpe journey. Known as Robin Hood Airport before its closure, it operated from 2005 until late 2022. Reopening plans do not confirm that a particular passenger route or flight is available, so match your dates and destination against airline and airport information.
Treat Leeds Bradford, Humberside and RAF Scampton as separate possibilities to verify, rather than assuming each has a suitable commercial passenger service. Confirm the airport serving your booked flight first, then arrange the onward journey to Edenthorpe around its transport options.
Comparing the listed airport options
The four airports differ in their suitability for passenger travel, so check flight availability before comparing onward transport.
Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport
The airport closed in late 2022. Verify passenger-flight availability before choosing it.
Humberside Airport
Check that Humberside serves your intended journey and confirm how you will continue to Edenthorpe.
RAF Scampton
Its inclusion among the airports to consider does not establish commercial passenger service. Confirm that it is suitable for your booked flight before making transfer plans.
Leeds Bradford Airport
Check your flight and onward travel arrangements before deciding whether this route suits your trip.
How do you plan the onward trip to Edenthorpe?
Once you have confirmed the airport and flight, choose an onward transfer that matches your arrival point. Check the route, service and timetable for your journey.
National Rail lists bus, taxi and airport transport links at Doncaster Railway Station. The station has step-free access to all platforms, lifts, accessible toilets and Passenger Assistance meeting points. Confirm which connections run for your travel time rather than relying on a route list that may have changed.

Private-hire vehicles cannot legally be flagged down or hired from a taxi rank; you must pre-book them. For local travel beyond the airport leg, how to get around Edenthorpe and Doncaster can help you plan the rest of the route.
What to confirm before travelling

For Doncaster Sheffield, do not treat reopening plans as a published passenger timetable or as evidence of a particular destination. Check the official site before you go.
